Joko - Women of Strength

The Joko Strength Sessions is an 8 part series of multilingual docudramas, illustrating through storytelling the inner strength of everyday women who have overcome obstacles to triumph in their personal lives and  their communities.  The series flights as a destination program on 6 ALS Stations – Thobela FM, Lesedi FM, Motsweding FM, Phalaphala FM, Ukhozi FM and Umhlobo Wenene FM.   The program plays twice on Fridays, giving listeners two chances to listen and win.

Real women were interviewed for the series and their stories dramatized across all stations.  An emotive jingle was create to fuse the live and prerecorded elements together.  The presenter runs an interactive competition at the end of the program to solicit the understanding of where the strength in the story lies.
